RESORT/COUNTRY CLUB CASUAL
Invitations with the term, "Resort or Country Club Casual" indicate attire that is a cut above very casual clothes.
WEAR:
- A clean and pressed blouse, collared shirts, button up tops, open-necked or polo shirt can be paired with a nice pair of pants (linen pants, slacks, skorts, nice khaki pants, shorts) or a skirt and sandals. Neutrals such as black, gray, navy, brown and khaki are the most acceptable colors for pants. Skirts should be no higher than knee-length. Bold colors and prints are fine as long as they coordinate nicely with the rest of the ensemble.
- A casual, classy, knee-length dress, sundress with minimal accessories is also a good choice, as long as the dress is tasteful-not too short or low-cut. Aim for crew neck or boat neck necklines and wide straps.
AVOID: Flip flops, camisoles, T-shirts, tank tops and jeans, short shorts, high heels, cutoffs or very short skirts and dresses.
WHEN TO WEAR IT: Resort/Country Club Casual wear is always appropriate at a country club, cruise line, golf club, resort, friend’s home party, picnic and walk in the park with your boyfriend during the daytime. Though you may often need more formal wear for evening events.
